What can I expect at the Trophy 2026?
The 2026 Trophy consists of three special day trips in Carinthia and the border region of three countries. These motorcycle tours are a maximum of 300 kilometers long and take a maximum of approximately 5 hours to complete.
This means there is enough time each day to include some very special stops.
You decide how much time you want to spend there.
At the stops you can expect exclusive culinary highlights and special attractions that you have never experienced before – specially arranged for this trophy.
Discover Carinthia by motorcycle, "taste" Carinthia and enjoy Carinthia!
The itinerary for the day trips is designed to be a lot of fun for every type of motorcyclist.
What exactly does this trophy mean?
The idea behind the Trophy is to discover Carinthia, including the tri-border region, in a relaxed way by motorcycle – both its scenery and its cuisine. With additional attractions that we're keeping under wraps for now. But if you've got horsepower in your veins, you'll be thrilled.
The Trophy also means work for you! Maybe, but only if you want to! At each station, you have to or can write down a "number" on a "Trophy Card" that you receive at the start. With this Trophy Card, you then participate in a raffle on the third day, or rather, in the evening. Prizes from the Alpine Marathon and Carinthia await you.
What is the procedure for the Trophy?
- You start your day tour every morning at Lake Faak. At the start, you'll receive the tour description, the GPX data (if you haven't already imported the data into your app or navigation device), information about the stops, and tips for the day. You choose your starting time.
We expect you sometime between 08:30 and 10:00. - You can choose your ideal motorcycle hotel in Carinthia. A link to the selection and locations can be found here …
- On the third evening there is a party with everyone who participated in the Trophy, organized the Trophy, and…
Which routes are used in the Trophy?
There are a total of three tour days, which are comprised of the following titles:
- LAKE AND ALPINE PASTURE TOUR
- THREE-COUNTRY CULINARY TOUR
- WATER AND PANORAMIC VIEW TOUR
The tours will include toll roads. Therefore, the Carinthia Panorama Ticket is included in the Trophy Starter Package. This means that the toll fees are already paid for these three days, as well as for additional days if you stay longer, arrive early, or plan your return journey accordingly.
What do I get for the price of the trophy?
- The organization: Planning, organizing, and running the tours requires more effort. But that's not all. Of course.
- The stops: There will be 6 stops, two per day, all exceptionally well-organized. A culinary and experiential experience awaits you. At each stop, you'll enjoy delicious treats. Any entrance fees are also included.
- The toll: The Carinthia Panorama Ticket is included in the price. This means that all important toll roads in Carinthia are already paid for – we are not talking about the Austria-wide motorway toll.
- The party: On the third day, there will be a closing party. You can expect some treats and free drinks.
- The raffle: When you hand in your completed trophy entry form, however you filled it out, you'll be entered into the raffle. We'll be drawing fantastic prizes that evening, some of which might even be worth the trophy itself. All you have to do is be there.
- The equipment: You will receive a T-shirt, a starting number, the Trophy documents and in advance the GPX data and the tour description as a roadbook.
Are there any requirements for the rider and motorcycle?
No. Of course not. The routes are easy to drive. It's a mix of country roads and easy to moderately challenging Alpine passes. You determine the pace and the length of your breaks. You start your tours in the morning whenever you want – well, almost: between 8:30 and 10:00.
As already described: The focus is on the driving experience. Above all, you should discover, taste, and enjoy the southernmost state and the tri-border region.
Am I insured during the Trophy race, and how is the driving done?
Safety and personal responsibility are paramount. The Alpen-Marathon Kärnten Trophy is not a race and there is no official timing. It's not about speed, but about enjoying the route, the culinary highlights, and the shared experience.
Here are the most important points for your safety:
- Personal responsibility: You participate in the Trophy at your own risk. The road traffic regulations (StVO) must be strictly observed. You are solely responsible for your driving style, compliance with traffic rules, and the condition of your motorcycle.
- No competition: As this is a recreational drive, there is no ranking based on driving times or speed. The raffle is based solely on your participation and the collected "numbers" of stops.
- Disclaimer: By registering and participating, you acknowledge that the organizer accepts no liability for personal injury, property damage, or financial loss that may occur during the tour. This applies to the organizer as well as to other participants or third parties.
- Protective equipment: For your own safety, we require you to wear full motorcycle protective clothing and a helmet tested according to ECE standards.
Enjoy the winding roads of Carinthia with common sense and foresight – we want all participants to arrive at the party in the evening healthy and with a smile!
